Best roast duck in town.. they might be correct. But it's still a bit mid compared to any other city, even compared to Auckland. The rice was too lukewarm, they were a bit heavy with the saucing over the duck.
But super cheap, always busy, open late, this place seems to satisfy Cantonese cravings well.

If you have noise issues then this ain’t the place unless you bring noise cancelling headphones.
However if you’re deaf and not worried about the noise, this place is so authentic and so good.
Just sat down and enjoyed a great bowl of bbq pork wonton soup. Easily the best meal I’ve eaten in over a week.
Fast service to table (if you can get one)
Feeling very fulfilled and very grateful to eat here again.
If you’re in town and need a decent feed this is the place.

A great little Cantonese spot in Wellington! KC Cafe serves a wide variety of authentic Cantonese dishes. I especially loved the crispy duck chin—only $13.50 for more than a dozen pieces, and absolutely delicious. The roast duck rice was also a standout, with a very generous portion. If you’re craving affordable, tasty Cantonese food, KC Cafe is highly recommended!

The stir-fried beef ho fun was incredibly fresh and flavorful — definitely a highlight of the meal. The fried chicken wings were a bit on the salty side for my taste, but still crispy and well-cooked. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended! 👍

KC has been around for a very long time and rarely closes. Their food is always consistent and they serve up till quite late in the night. Menu is extensive and you’ll often end up wanting to replace your initial choice as there’s too many to choose from! My favourite is the black pepper pork chop and deep fried squid (which you need to eat while it’s hot). The place is often packed so be ready to do takeaways or hang around till one is available. Toilets are at the back however do be careful as the floor might be a tad slippery.
